Hello. Sorry it has been so long since I have updated this site. Both Melanie and I have been VERY busy keeping
up with Alyssa and the house. Alyssa for sure. She is getting into EVERYTHING. No drawer is safe when she
is around. We tell her "No, close it", she looks at you, grins, and proceeds to do what she was doing before - cleaning
out the drawer!
I have now tripped over my first toy the other night too. I was up late on the computer, playing on the internet.
Melanie went to bed early because she was really tired from a hard day at work. I went in, kissed Alyssa good night
and (re)tucked her in. I shut off the hall light and proceeded to walk towards our bedroom door when all of a sudden
"BAM". I tripped and kicked the LOUDEST toy in Alyssa's vast collection right into our bedroom door.
Sure a few "G-D's" came out of my mouth, but the worst thing was I couldn't shut the stupid thing off. Keep in mind
it is around 11:30 at night. Finally, after 30 agonizing seconds, the toy finally shut off. And, I did what every
husband would do after doing something so stupid. "Uh....sorry honey.....hope I didn't wake you."
I can't believe Alyssa is turning 1 in less than two weeks! It seems like it was just yesterday I was in a fight
with the worst recliner on earth (My first entry about her birth). She is going to have such a fun birthday. As
soon as it is over with, I will put all the fun pictures on the site so that everyone can see it.
I think before she turns one, she is going to be walking around. She has already taken a couple of steps, so I
think she is ready to go. And, I know when she starts, there is NO slowing her down! She also has both her
top two teeth as well as her bottom two teeth. Trying to dig something out of her mouth is like putting your finger
into a box of razor blades. THEY HURT!
Well I hope you enjoy the new pictures and movies I have put on the site. I will try to keep up with it!
Love Andy, Melanie, and Alyssa
